1:52p - Happy birthday Bill
![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) whumpdotcom's party in Palo Alto was great, he had a fantastic cherry filled chocolate cake, chocolate fondue, and a good turnout.
Someone brought a bottle of subscription 96 red zinfandel from Ridge Winery which had absolutely no bitterness, really wonderful. California has winery subscriptions, I think Ridge calls it the Advanced Tasting Program, and mail you better wine than they sell to the general public. Someone said Ridge has the best zinfandel grapes in the world.
Bill had preset his blogger server ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/syndicated.gif) whumpxml to show a cool picture of him as a baby with his parents at midnight, so we checked that out before we went home.

Bill's new tech toy, a wireless Squeezebox from slimdevices.com, plays mp3 and other music through his wireless network with a stereo-top box that tells you what is playing and a remote control. Beautiful implementation!
